T'was a cloudy day in Montreal and our protagonist for this story, Stu, was working off a hangover when he decided to head up Mont Royal, the hill and park in the heart of the city.

What started out as a nice stroll quickly became a test of character, a journey for redemption and, ultimately, a fight for survival.

His friend and trusted guide to the city, Tom, was nowhere to be seen as Stu slugged his way up the 233m or so to the summit, cruising the extremely steep, brutal and winding path along the way:

Mont Royal, never keen to allow strangers on its hallowed turf, threw up a variety of traps to stop Stu from reaching its fabled peak.

First, it hit him with dangerous, frightening creatures designed to test his courage:

But he was determined, and, having booted the squirrels in the face and crushed their children, Stu continued his journey forth.

Mont Royal had one final hurdle for him, testing his manliness by throwing the ultimate test of masculinity at him - ice skating.

Would he succumb, strap on those blades and pirouette his way to glory? Would he don the sequinned tights, dance his way across the ice and receive a standing ovation from the adoring fans?

Hells no! Our fabled hero (hey it's my story) charged on, finally reaching the summit of Mont Royal, and threw the ring into the depths of Mount Doom. Wait, no, wrong story.

The reward for reaching the summit? A beautiful view of Downtown Montreal:

C'est tout!
